Production and sales continued to increase sequentially

According to the statistics of the China Automobile Association, the national automobile production and sales in April were 2.102 million units and 2.07 million units respectively, an increase of 2.3% and 4.4% year-on-year respectively. . In terms of new energy vehicles, the production and sales continued the month-on-month rapid growth momentum, and the year-on-year decline also narrowed from March. Data show that in April, the production and sales of new energy vehicles were 80,000 and 72,000, respectively, up 31.6% and 9.7% from the previous month, and down 22.1% and 26.5% from the same period last year. From January to April, the cumulative production and sales were 205,000 units, a year-on-year decrease of 44.8% and 43.4% respectively.

"Although April is a month for adjusting subsidies for new energy vehicles, it is expected that there will be a process of soaring. However, compared with the reversal of traditional fuel vehicles after the epidemic, the performance of new energy vehicles under the dual stimulus of the impact of the epidemic and the subsidy retreat is still Slightly weaker. Especially, the growth pressure of new energy vehicles with independent brands is too high, and there will still be some pressure on the development of the new energy vehicle market in the future.

Judging from the April sales data of 11 mainstream independent car companies that have been disclosed, the sales of self-owned brands fell almost across the board from January to April. Only GAC New Energy achieved positive year-on-year growth. The situation is not optimistic. The specific data shows that BYD, the new energy vehicle head company, sold 12,000 new energy passenger cars in April, a slight increase of 4.2% from the previous month and a decrease of 46.1% from the same period last year; BAIC New Energy also made a surprise Transcript-April sales were only 586 units, which can be said to be the lowest monthly sales volume in the past three years, even 41.5% lower than the sales volume in February this year when the market was the weakest, down 88.3% year-on-year.
